今年暑假 我參加某一知名的旅行社所辦的美西之旅
發生了一些不愉快的小費給付事件
在其中 當地的旅行社(就是local)說:小費是公定 一定要照著規定來給
但是 我向一位架設網頁專門教美國人如何付小費的Ms. Gonzalez請教這個問題
她回答將如下所示
(我一併將我的問題post上來)

I am looking forward to your helping me.  Those questions are as 
below:
 
1.  Is there any tipping standard for a tour guide in USA?  
Then, how much is it?
2.  If yes, which organization made this standard?  Is the 
organization a trustful one?
3.  If the tour guide dose not do her/his job well, can a tourist 
decided how much to tip under her/his own will or should s/he obey 
the standard anyway?
4.  If no, how much should a tourist tip a tour guide per day, 
generally speaking?
5.  Is it true that a tour guide will be taken off some tax from 
the tip?
這是我問的問題  其中的一些問題Ms. Gonzalez並沒有回答
但是 關於所謂的「公定小費」我們有一個很明顯的答案 如下:

There are no HARD SET RULES. You tip ONLY IF [YOU] WANT TO!!!! 
Do not ever be forced to tip. It is not the law here and never will 
be.  However, it is very nice to tip for good service. So go ahead 
and look at my web site for some ideas at:

But don't ever be forced to tip someone in any situation. It is 
not a law here in USA that says you must tip. It's nonsense...

關於小費的問題 我將在日後搜集更多的資訊之後 寫成一份報告
我的目的並非要讓旅行社難堪或是尋求賠償
對我來說 那些都是旅行中的不愉快
現在才在和旅行社扯不清 都是於事無補 我的美好假期回不來
該有的歡樂 也無法彌補的 
我會寫這份報導 是希望讓更多的旅客知道給小費的藝術
不要當個被領隊所取笑的鄉巴佬 (像venice的朋友一樣)
也不要當個到處散財的凱子
垓給的 我們當然要給 但是 我們有權要求好的服務
大家是知識份子 分得清楚 可以拿捏好分寸
