My name is Dr Sylvia Rodger. I am a Senior Lecturer in Paediatric
Occupational Therapy at The University of Queensland.  The University of
Queensland is currently The University of the Year 1999, for its outstanding
student education, research and scholarship in Australia.

我是Sylvia Rodger博士, 擔任資深教授於澳大利亞昆士蘭大學職能治療系兒童治療組.
昆士蘭大學由於其傑出的學生訓練,教育研究,及講學金制度而聞名於全澳洲, 並榮獲
1999年澳大利亞全國最優良大學獎.

A current research interest is in the management of children with attention
deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I am interested in comparing how
Australian and Taiwanese occupational therapists treat these children in
their regular occupational therapy sessions. I am working with a Taiwanese
occupational therapist, who is a postgraduate student in the Department of
Occupational Therapy on this project. This is an opportunity to increase
knowledge between our two countries about each other’s practice. It also
enables better collaboration and understanding and can facilitate
development of paediatric practice in occupational therapy in both
countries. The University of Queensland  is endeavouring to make
international links with its near Pacific neighbours. We are very interested
to find out more about the major aspects of Taiwanese occupational therapy
with ADHD children.

本單位最近的研究專題在探討如何處理患有”注意力不集中與過動attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)”的兒童. 我們對於比較貴國與本國的職能治療師對
ADHD的處理感到相當有興趣. 目前有位來自台灣的碩士班學生跟我一起在進行這項計畫
.. 對於兩國之間兒童職能治療專業知識的提昇, 這是一個相當好的機會.這同樣也能增
進彼此的專業交流與了解, 並促進兩國間兒童職能治療專業的發展.昆士蘭大學一直致
力於與亞太地區鄰國之間的教育聯繫與教育水準的提昇.我們非常期待能夠獲得貴國治
療師們對於ADHD兒童的寶貴建議與指導.

I am writing to find out whether the paediatric therapists under your
supervision would be interested in completing a brief survey about their
treatment of children with ADHD. I anticipate this survey will take
approximately 10 minutes to complete. The survey forms need to be filled in
individually by each therapist at your centre. If you are interested, please
reply by return e-mail (s802147@student.uq.edu.au), indicated your
willingness to be involved.
寫這封信的目的是想了解貴單位的兒童職能治療師是否願意在您的指導下填寫一份由我
們所設計的簡單問卷關於ADHD的治療.這份問卷大約需要 10分鐘左右填寫.這問卷需要
由各治療師單獨填寫.如果您願意,請由回覆的e-mail (s802147@student.uq.edu.au)中
告訴我們,表示你們樂意參與這項計劃.
