小弟在實驗室有架設NFS、NIS server的需要

我們以往都是使用CentOS

不過新買的client端我把他灌成fedora

想說fedora的使用者以及可查詢書籍似乎比較多

（上次去天瓏找，CentOS好像只有一本= =+）



按照學長流傳下來的「安裝手冊」一步步裝下來

最後啟動yp-bind時

bind到server端的最後步驟卻一直失敗

類似這樣的訊息

[root@flyingtoys ~]# service ypbind start
Starting NIS service: [ OK ]
Binding NIS service: ......... [FAILED]

rpcinfo -p那邊也就沒有看到ypbind的port被打開

google了一下

查到一篇跟我問題相當類似的文章

整理了一下，有幾種說法：

1：check that the "ports are open"

2：edit you firewall rules to allow all connections from the subnet
   (192.168.0.0/24)

3：edit /etc/sysconfig/network and append the following

   OTHER_YPBIND_OPTS="-p 833"
   YPSERV_ARGS="-p 834"
   YPXFRD_ARGS="-p 835"

   Which will then bind YP to those ports (each time). You can then punch
   your hole in the firewall to allow connections on those ports. Of course
   you can swap the ports if you choose.

4：還有另一個說法是關掉iptables（相關文章現在突然找不到了）

   那個似乎是防火牆？

第三跟第四種方法我都有試過

做ypbind restart還是沒有辦法

在這裡想請問，第一、二個方法要怎麼達成呢？

理論上第二個方法應該跟關掉iptables是一樣的吧？



另外有一個問題想要請問的就是：

我在設定完nfs（fstab）、nisdomainname、/etc/rc.d/rc.local、/etc/hosts

還有/etc/sysconfig/network、yp.conf、/etc/passwd、/etc/nsswitch.conf以後

就沒有辦法藉由domain name連線了

ping得到yahoo ip、但是瀏覽器找不到tw.yahooo.com

這樣變成說我沒有辦法使用yum install去套件庫下載rpm

不知道為什麼會這樣...也請指教>"<
