Hi to all my dear students,

How are you guys doing?  I hope every one of you is doing great with you 
life and career. 
Sorry I cannot write in Chinese since my wife has my laptop computer.
 
Well, it has been a year since I came to the Health Services Research & Policy 
program at University of Minnesota.  Life has been hard here.  
I never imagined I would have to study so hard.  
The first class in Statistics the professor wrote a lot of calculus formula. 
When I walked out of the class on the first day I felt like 
boarding a plane and head back to Taiwan.  Same thing happened with 
Health Economics and Sociology.  Well, then I figured why not give myself 
couple of wks to try this program.  So I bought a Microeconomics and Calculus 
textbook and came to school everyday at 8 o'clock to digest them.  
I ask questions all the time in the class.  I went to see the professor 
every week to ask questions. And the teaching assistant is like my private 
tutor.  Gradually I was able to catch up with classes and actually did 
very well in all classes.  I became the most hard-working students 
in my class.  I made extensive study group with other students with 
all my classmates.  This helped me survived all six courses I took so far.
