  其實，你可以實際動手測試一下效果，並不如想像中的複雜。而且，

  你可以放在 /usr/X11R6/etc/fonts/local.conf 或是 ~/.fonts.conf

  這些設定內容，在我給的連結中的 example 裡頭就有，那個中文版是
  minihair（陳育青）幫忙中譯的 fontconfig 官方使用手冊。

  額外的或自行安裝的字型，這些設定當然是要安裝的人手動去設置。除非
  你把他打包成 port/package 的形式去自動處理。lilypond 並不清楚你
  的系統是如何配置的。

  這些問題，嚴格來說和 lilypond 並沒有直接關係，可能另立個 subject
  來討論會比較好，這樣其他人有這類問題，他們也可以看標題來查閱，而
  不會造成同樣的 subject，討論變成沒完沒了，請改變一個 subject 問
  到底的習慣。

  我會直接給連結，是要你去熟悉一下 fontconfig 是怎麼運作的，至少一
  些基礎的設定要會用，否則往後你還是一樣會碰到問題，目前 X 的相關
  軟體絕大部份都是靠它找字型。

  lilypond 是排版系統的一個環節，而目前的桌上排版系統，沒有 X 將會很
  不方便處理，這些相關的議題，沒有辦法全部容納到 lilypond 這個討論串。
